3. Data Storage and Encryption
Critical Privacy Feature: Neticks does NOT store your backup data on our own cloud infrastructure. All backup data is stored exclusively on cloud storage systems designated and controlled by you, the client.
3.1 Encryption Standards
We employ industry-leading encryption to protect your information:
- AES-256-CBC Encryption: All data is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard with 256-bit keys in CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) mode before transmission and storage.
- End-to-End Encryption: Data remains encrypted throughout the entire backup process, from source to destination.
- TLS/SSL Protection: All data in transit is protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols.
- Key Management: Encryption keys are managed securely using industry-standard key management practices. Keys are never stored in plain text.
3.2 Client-Controlled Storage
Your backup data is stored on cloud infrastructure that you designate and control:
- We do not have access to your backup data except as necessary to provide the Service
- You maintain full ownership and control of your data
- You are responsible for configuring and securing your cloud storage
- We are not responsible for data breaches or unauthorized access to your cloud storage
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process your registration and manage your account
- Send you service-related communications (account updates, security alerts, etc.)

Important: Deleting your Neticks account does not delete your backup data stored on your cloud infrastructure. You are responsible for managing and deleting your backup data separately.

By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
